#8 Argan - The Golden Oil

Have you all noticed lately that many cosmetic products like shampoos, hair serums and even lipsticks have come out with terms such as "Argan oil infused" or "Argan oil enriched"?

We all do like those terms and are inclined towards buying them. But don't you think we should know more about this oil?

What is ARGAN OIL?

Argan oil ( or the golden oil) is an essential oil obtained from the Argan trees' fruits which are prevalent in Morocco. Beauty and Cosmetic experts prefer calling this oil as an "Elixir oil for beauty".


What is so special about Argan Oil?

Argan oil is used both for cosmetic purpose as well as culinary purpose. Yes! for culinary too! As cosmetic purposes, Argan oil is used to repair damaged hair, dry hair and split ends; prevent your hair from sun damage and heating tools; and treats dry and itchy scalp.

Their benefits do not end there. When used for skin, Argan oil eliminates age spots, fine wrinkles and even reduces acne scars to a great extent (that is a definite thumbs up!).

Did you know? 

Argan oil can even remove temporary tattoos!! You need not scrub them anymore!!

Argan oil will be the most preferred solution to have a tight, toned and an elastic youthful skin. Oh wait there! am not done with their amazing benefits yet!!

When taken the oil internally, it aids in proper digestion, prevents cancer, prevents diabetes and it even helps to balance your cholesterol levels! Yes! No wonder it is called a golden oil right?

* Since it is an essential oil, it is required to mix a few drops of them to any carrier oil and then apply.

P.S. : This oil is very much on the expensive side, but on looking over its benefits, don't you think it is worth a shot?

#2 Lovea nature shampoo for colour-treated hair

Lovea nature shampoo is a no sulphate, no silicone and no paraben product. It is an imported France-based product which I purchased from health and glow store. I recently coloured my hair browns and reds, thus requiring a sulphate-free colour-protecting shampoo to retain them. Sulphates generally tend to dry out hair by removing the scalp's natural oils and also results in Colour fading and dried hair. The main ingredient in the shampoo is cranberries. The product claims "to reveal the radiance of your colour without heaviness". My experience with the product : I used this shampoo post my hair colouring. The product had a beautiful magenta colour and a cranberry fragrance. I had oiled my hair with coconut and castor oil. #10 Pakwan - The royal dining experience

Pakwan, translating to 'dish' in Hindi, is a restaurant located at the heart of Chennai, T. Nagar. The restaurant, as per their Facebook page, claims to 'give your taste buds the royal dining experience in the best of vegetarian north Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisines with an ambience that looks just wow'. I was more than eager to visit this place to have my lunch to satisfy my taste buds on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Although the restaurant is located at the end of the street, we did not have any difficulties in finding out the place, thanks to their signage. The entrance of the restaurant was welcoming. We were guided to our seats with helpful servicemen.
